Overnight Agra Taj Mahal Tour

blic holidays) from sunrise to sunset. Open at Night from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am on a Full moon night, two days before and after.

Red Fort : Magisterial Red Fort of Agra was built in 16th-century. This walled city is made of red sandstone that was the center of the Mughal Empire.

Timings of Red fort Agra : Open all days from 6:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Itimad-ud-daula's : Tomb (Baby Taj) Built entirely in white marble and inlaid with semi-precious stones, It is situated on the bank of the River Yamuna, gives a strong Persian impression.

Fatehpur Sikri :  Akbar took a great interest in the building of Fatehpur Sikri to honor the Sufi saint Salim Chisti . Fatehpur Sikri is one of the most well preserved Mughal forts. It took fifteen years to complete the fort and palaces within the walled city. Royal palaces or royal ladies , a Mosque, courts, private quarters, utility buildings & harems. Fatehpur Sikri served the purpose of a capital till 1585. Later it was abandoned due to the scarcity of Water. Today all four monuments you see are the most impressive UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Day 1 Delhi – Agra ( by an Ac Car . approx 3 & 1/2 hrs. )

08:00 After breakfast pick up from your hotel & drive to Agra via Yamuna expressway.
11:30 On reaching hotel at Agra , Check-in & rest for a while.
12;30 Later go out for Sightseeing of Agra Fort.
14:0O : Transferred to Hotel ITC Mughal's Taj bano restaurant for Multi-cuisine buffet lunch.
15:00 : After lunch proceed for sightseeing of Itmaddaula.
16:00 : Time to see the world's most magnificient monument. Tajmahal. See the changing colors of marble at sunset at Tajmahal. Take plenty of time at Tajmahal as it is the highlight of your tour.
18:30 : Later back to hotel or go out in the market to see the local art. Overnight saty at the hotel in Agra.

Day 2 Agra – Fatehpur Sikri - Delhi

05:15 Today it is an option if you wish to visit the Tajmahal again at the time of Sunrise. Later after sightseeing back to hotel for breakfast & check out at around 0930 .
09:30 After check out proceed for sightseeing of Fatehpur Sikri. It will almost four hours in visiting Fatehpur sikri. After sightseeing time to take lunch at mid-way hotel & thereafter straight drive back to Delhi.

History of New Delhi
According to Sanskrit texts, the Pandavas and Kauravas fought for the city of Indraprastha. It supposedly is on this ancient city that New Delhi is built. Although no remains of Indraprastha are found, there are ruins dating from 736 AD still standing around New Delhi today. The fortress La Kot is one example. Built by the Tomara Rakputs (who were eventually ousted by the Turkish General King Qutb-ud-din Aibak). The Turk then went on to the construct the Qutb complex - a structure that is a popular tourist destination today.

History of Agra
In 1475 Raja Singh Badal laid foundation for the city of Agra. Sikander Lodi made Agra his capital in 1501. The city rose to its magnificence during the reign of Mughuls, during 16th -17th century. Babar and Humayun started building the present Agra. Akbar shifted his capital to Agra in 1599 and ruled India from there till his death in 1605. Agra reached its zenith of prosperity during the reign of Shahjahan who built Jama masjid, most of the palaces and buildings inside Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal. It was the capital of Mughul empire until the capital was shifted to Red Fort, Delhi, in 1648. In1761 Agra fell to Jats who did much of the damages to the city, even going so far as to plunder Taj. The Marathas came in 1770 and Agra went through several changes before British took over in 1903. The British merged Agra and Avadh to form United Province. In the post independent India the united province was re-named Uttar Pradesh.

History Of Jaipur

Jaipur Fort The now capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur was built in 1727 AD by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. It is from his name that the city extracts its name. Jaipur happens to be the first planned city of India. Maharaja Jai Singh, who was only 11 years old, came into power after the demise of his father Maharaja Bishan Singh. Kachwaha Rajputs, who came into power in 12th century, are said to be Jai Singh's ancestors. Their rivalry with Sisodia Rajputs, rulers of Mewar, helped them in their alliance with Mughals. Mughals too helped the Kachwaha Rajputs against Sisodia Rajputs, resulting in Kachwahas attaining a reputed place in Rajasthan. They ruled the kingdoms of Mewar (Udaipur) and Marwar (Jodhpur) from the glorious Amber Fort. Jai Singh supported Aurangzeb's son Azam Shah in the battle of succession, which created unrest among people. But Azam Shah lost this bid to throne to his brother Bahadur Shah.After India got independence, Jaipur merged with Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Bikaner to form the largest state of India with Jaipur as its capital.
